Details on the cutoff, eligibility, and registration for the EKSU Post-UTME/DE in 2022

 This notice is to advise all UTME and Direct Entry (DE) applicants who have submitted applications for admission to Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, that the online screening process will begin on October 3, 2022. (please note that there will be no Examination)




The University will also take into account UTME applicants who did not initially select EKSU but who scored 160 or higher in the most recent UTME and are prepared to move EKSU to their top choice of institution on their JAMB CAPS. In accordance with Senate approval, Ekiti State University (EKSU) will grant concessions to successful Pre-Degree Program students.

Candidates should not apply for the PUTME screening process if they have not taken their O'level exams. They must submit an application as soon as the O'level exam results are made public.


Law, nursing, and medicine (MBBS) require minimum UTME scores of 240, 220, and 250 from the university, respectively. In order to be considered for admission, candidates who received lower scores in any of the aforementioned courses may apply for PUTME screening into alternative courses of their choosing. Please be aware that EKSU ONLY accepts JUPEB (minimum of 7 points) for admission; NOT IJMB.

ELIGIBILITY

Only applicants who earned at least five (5) credit passes in the required topics in the SSCE, NECO, or NABTEB AT NO MORE THAN TWO SITTINGS will be accepted by EKSU. (Candidates for direct entry must have a least Upper Credit in engineering courses and a Lower Credit in all other courses.) Candidates for direct entry who want to make EKSU their top choice of institution may also be taken into consideration. Transcripts for Direct Entry candidates must be processed and sent to EKSU by email at admissions.registration@eksu.edu.ng before November 30, 2022, or their admissions applications will not be taken into consideration.

Any applicant who doesn't take part in the screening process won't be taken into consideration for admission to the university. Candidates who upload fake information will be automatically disqualified.


REMINDER TO ALL CANDIDATES


A. PAYMENT PROCESS FOR EKSU'S POST-UTME SCREENING ACTIVITY ON REMITA

  • Login to www.eksu.edu.ng Click on 'PAY FOR PUTME
  • Select mode of entry e.g. UTME or DIRECT ENTRY.
  • Fill in your JAMB's Registration Number.
  • Fill in the course you are applying for.
  • Fill in your name (Applicant's name).
  • Fill in your phone number (Applicant's Personal Phone number).
  • Fill in your VALID E-MAIL ADDRESS Applicant's E-mail).
  • Confirm e-mail address. (Please ensure your email address is active and correct as your payment receipt will be sent to any email provided on the biller. You may not get a receipt if email is incorrect).
  •  Please click on the "I'm not a robot" reCAPTCHA box for verification.
  • Click "Submit".
  • Then select how you want to pay e.g a) CARD (This method requires that you fill in details of your ATM card (Master, Visa or Verve card) details to make payment).
  • b) Bank Branch (This method requires that you enter any bank that processes Remita transaction and present your pre-generated RRR code to make payment).

(You are advised to use any of the above method of payment for ease of service).

Note: Please ensure you fill in your details correctly as payment Made for Post-UTME application in error is non-refundable.

  •  Make sure you copy or print the RRR number generated after successful payment.

B. To apply for 2022/2023 UTME/DE

i. Go back to the www.eksu.edu.ng, click on APPLY FOR PUTME, locate Admission and click on 'start', you will be directed to the online application portal.

ii. Sign up by providing the required details to create an account, MAKE SURE YOU PROVIDE YOUR ACTIVE EMAIL AND PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER, a verification email will be sent to you.

iii. After successful sign up, click LOGIN to log on to your dashboard, applicants are to login using their CORRECTJAMB registration number as 'username' and enter their personal phone number as 'password' used while signing up.

iv. On your dashboard select the type of application (2022/2023 PUTME application). The next page requires inputting applicant's JAMB Registration Number (UTME). For applicants who chose EKSU, their information will be populated automatically and they can proceed to fill in their other details. Applicants who did not choose EKSU as first choice will have to fill in all their correct details on the form page. The next page requires inputting the RRR number gotten for your payment on remita (A, 1-13 above) for the verification of payment status.

v. Attach your 1" x 1"coloured passport photograph with red background in JPEG format only on the form page.

vi. Upload details of your O'Level result(s) obtained at not more than two sittings at the following examinations: WAEC/SSCE, NECO and NABTEB 

vii. After undergoing the above procedure, preview, confirm, submit and print out the completed screening form.
