Eligibility: 


We believe in inclusivity and providing opportunities to students with diverse abilities. To be eligible for the ABU Post-UTME/DE Screening Exercise, you must meet the following criteria:


1. UTME Score: Candidates with a UTME score of 180 and above are eligible to register for the Screening Exercise. This score threshold reflects our commitment to nurturing talent and potential.


2. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates: Direct Entry candidates are only required to pay the screening fee and complete the registration process. We value your unique academic journey and offer a streamlined registration process for DE candidates.


Registration Procedure: 

We have designed the registration process to be accessible and convenient for all eligible candidates. Here are the steps to embark on your registration journey:


Step 1: Visit the Registration Portal

To begin your registration, visit the official ABU registration portal: https://portal.abu.edu.ng/forms. Alternatively, access the 2022/2023 Post UTME Registration link on the Ahmadu Bello University website: http://abu.edu.ng.


Step 2: Payment of Screening Fee

A registration fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) is applicable for the screening exercise. You can make payment through REMITA using one of the following options:

  • Point of Sale (POS) at designated offices within the Campus
  • Online payment
  • Generating the REMITA RETRIEVAL REFERENCE (RRR) slip and making payment at any bank
  • Physical presence in Zaria for payment is not necessary, providing you with added convenience.

Screening Schedule: Mark Your Calendar

Mark your calendar for the upcoming screening exercise. We've organized the schedule for both 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 candidates to ensure a smooth process:


  • 21st August 2023 (Monday): Faculty of Social Science
  • 22nd August 2023 (Tuesday): Faculty of Engineering & Environmental Design
  • 23rd August 2023 (Wednesday): Faculty of Nursing & Law
  • 24th August 2023 (Thursday): Faculty of Agriculture, Pharmaceutical Science, Physical Science, Life Science, and Veterinary Medicine
  • 25th August 2023 (Friday): ABU Business School (Accounting, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Banking & Finance, Economics, Marketing & Insurance), Administration, Arts, Education
  • 26th August 2023 (Saturday): College of Medical Sciences (Medicine, Dental Surgery Radiography, Medical Laboratory Science, Human Anatomy, and Human Physiology)

Candidates must bring their original JAMB and Post UTME registration printouts to the screening venue. Failure to register for the Screening Exercise will render any UTME/DE candidate ineligible for admission into the University.
