Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Post-UTME/DE 2023: Cut-off Mark, Eligibility, and Registration Guidelines
This communication is intended for all candidates who selected Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) as their choice institution in the 2023 UTME, as well as those who did not initially select ESUT but now aspire to apply for admission. An online screening process will be conducted for admission consideration.
Candidates wishing to change their preference to ESUT must initiate this change through JAMB's change of institution procedure. The following points should be noted:
A. The ESUT cut-off mark is set at 160, except for programs like Medicine and Surgery, Medical Laboratory Science, Nursing Sciences, Pharmacy, and Law, where a cut-off of 200 is applicable.
B. The screening process will be conducted online, and physical attendance for screening or aptitude tests is not required. It is recommended that candidates obtain the ESUT Post-UTME past questions and answers to adequately prepare for the screening. Access the material here.
C. The fee for the screening process is two thousand naira (N2,000.00) only.
D. Admission status notifications will be sent to candidates via text messages and will also be accessible through the ESUT portal.
All Enugu State University of Science and Technology staff are expected to complete their biodata online before the commencement of biometric data capture, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 9th August 2022.
COMMENCEMENT OF REGISTRATION: The online registration window opens on Tuesday, 1st August 2023, and closes on Thursday, 31st August 2023. The portal will be closed after this date.
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE:
Visit the institution's portal: portal.esut.edu.ng and select the 2022/2023 session.
Under "Regular Students," choose "2022/2023 Admission Screening Registration."
Enter your JAMB Registration Number and proceed.
Provide the necessary details on the subsequent page to generate your invoice.
On the invoice page, you can choose from the payment options using Interswitch:
By Bank Branch: Visit any commercial bank with the invoice printout containing a reference number. Make a payment of N2,000 via Enugu State IGR paydirect.
By Debit Card: Make an online payment using your Debit Card.
Return to the application page and re-enter your JAMB Registration Number.
Complete the application form as instructed.
Verify the accuracy of your entries.
Submit your application.
Print out your acknowledgment slip.

Note: Candidates awaiting results from NABTEB, WAEC (May/June), and NECO (June/July) 2023 are eligible to apply. However, results released after 30th September 2023 will not be accepted. Consistency in name across documents is essential, as any disparity may lead to disqualification. The names on O' Level certificates, UTME results, and other registration documents must match.
ATTESTATION:
Candidates are required to confirm that the information provided in each section of the screening form is accurate to the best of their knowledge. Any false information will result in self-disqualification.
DIRECT ENTRY:
Direct entry candidates who initially chose ESUT as their preference must also undergo online screening. They can access information regarding the online screening process through the institution's portal, as outlined above. Furthermore, they should request their institutions to forward transcripts of their results to the ESUT Registrar.
