ANNOUNCEMENT: FULOKOJA Post-UTME/DE 2023: Minimum Score Requirement, Eligibility, and Registration Information

We hereby inform all UTME and DE candidates who have applied through JAMB for admission into the Federal University Lokoja (FUL) for the 2023/2024 Academic Session that the Post-UTME Registration Portal will be accessible from Friday, August 18, 2023.

In order to qualify for the screening exercise, UTME candidates must have obtained a score of at least 170 (250 for Medicine & Surgery, 220 for Nursing Science, and 200 for Engineering Programs) in the 2023 UTME. DE applicants, on the other hand, must have applied through JAMB. However, UTME candidates aiming for the programs mentioned above who have scored below the prescribed marks are advised to switch to other relevant programs before proceeding with the CBT registration. It's important to note that only those with the required UTME score for their chosen program are eligible for the CBT.

COMPUTER-BASED TEST (CBT)

Both UTME and DE applicants will partake in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) Screening Exercise. The screening will occur at the Centre for ICT, Federal University Lokoja Permanent Site, Felele Campus, Lokoja, Kogi State. Applicants will be assigned to specific batches and scheduled for the test. Applicants must strictly adhere to the indicated date and time on their screening slip and arrive at the venue two (2) hours before the stipulated time.

ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

All applicants are required to follow these steps for online registration:

Ensure you have a valid personal email address before commencing the registration process.
Visit fulokoja.edu.ng.
Click on Admissions – Undergraduate – Post-UTME Portal, and log in using your valid 2023 JAMB Registration number to confirm eligibility.

a) BIODATA PAGE:

Update your personal information and examination records (including the number of O’level examination sittings and O’level examination details) for DE applicants. For DE applicants, update your previous academic records as requested. Uploading incorrect O’level result details will lead to disqualification.

b) PAYMENT PAGE:

Generate your ₦2,000.00 payment invoice for Post-UTME Screening Charges using REMITA services (card or bank payment), and proceed to pay.

c) ELIGIBILITY PAGE:

Select your preferred program, ensuring that your UTME Score and O’level subjects meet the eligibility criteria. Verify your WAEC result via the provided steps. Uploading the wrong O’level Examination Scratch Card detail will result in disqualification.

d) CBT SCHEDULE PAGE:

Choose the five O’level subjects for examination, submit to generate your CBT screening date and time, and print your screening slip.

ELIGIBILITY:

Navigate to the Post-UTME Eligibility page:

Select your preferred Program from the drop-down list of courses available at the Federal University Lokoja. Be mindful that your evaluation will be based on your chosen Program. Also, ensure that your UTME Score and O’level subjects meet the eligibility criteria for your selected Program. For detailed O’level, UTME, and DE requirements for courses offered at the Federal University Lokoja, please refer to the University website www.fulokoja.edu.ng.
Choose the 5 O’level subjects that correspond with your selected Program and submit your choices.
Proceed to upload a new O’level Examination (NECO/NABTEB) Scratch Card for verification. For WAEC result(s) verification, follow these steps:

• Visit www.waec.org and create a candidate account.
• Select the 'Certificate Access (candidates)' category.
• Complete the form and sign up.
• Log in with your credentials.
• Provide necessary information.
• Access your certificate.
• Click the 'share' button.
• Choose the certificate to share.
• Enter the email address in your Post-UTME portal.
• Click 'proceed' to complete the sharing process.

Please be cautious not to upload incorrect O’level Examination Scratch Card details, as this will result in automatic disqualification. Note that the scratch card can be used for verification only once.

d) CBT SCHEDULE PAGE

i. Select the 5 O’level subjects you wish to be examined in.

ii. Click submit to process your CBT screening date and time.

iii. Print your screening slip, making note of the CBT screening date and time.

ELIGIBILITY

i. Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) O' level credits relevant to their desired course of study. These credits should be obtained in no more than two (2) sittings, except for Medicine and Nursing Science, where at least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO are required in relevant subjects, achieved in a single sitting. A credit in English Language is mandatory for admission into all courses at the Federal University Lokoja. Please visit the University website (www.fulokoja.edu.ng) for comprehensive O’level, UTME, and DE requirements for courses offered.

ii. Only applicants with O’level results are eligible to participate in the CBT screening exercise.

iii. Only applicants who uploaded their O’level result(s) on their JAMB e-Facility will be eligible for admission. Note that result uploading on the JAMB e-Facility can only be successfully done at JAMB Office or any JAMB Accredited CBT Centre.

iv. Only applicants who selected FUL as their first choice and took part in the CBT Screening Exercise will be considered for admission in the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

v. A successful screening exercise does not guarantee admission into the Federal University Lokoja. The Central Admissions Committee of the University will apply additional admission criteria when considering applications.

vi. Any inconsistency, false information, or withholding of required details discovered at any stage of your application will lead to automatic disqualification from admission, with no refund of fees.

vii. Applicants are required to strictly adhere to the provided instructions.
