N-Power Beneficiaries Set to Receive Nine Months Backlog Allowance
In a recent announcement made by the Federal Government, it has been revealed that N-Power beneficiaries are on the cusp of receiving their long-awaited nine-month backlog allowances. The commencement of these payments is slated for November, a development that has brought renewed hope to the thousands of beneficiaries eagerly awaiting their stipends.
This encouraging news was delivered by Akindele Egbuwalo, the National Program Manager of N-Power. He conveyed the message that the funds necessary for these payments have been successfully recovered from the existing payment service providers. Moreover, Egbuwalo emphasized that the disbursements would occur in multiple installments, allowing for a smoother and more efficient process.
The official statement was issued from Abuja on October 16 by Jamaluddeen Kabir, the National Communication Manager of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA). In this announcement, the transformation of the N-Power program into the "Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme" (RHJCP) was also disclosed.

Egbuwalo shared this exciting news during a meeting with N-Power beneficiaries in Abuja, which served as a platform for open dialogue and transparency. He explained the reasons behind the delay in stipend disbursements and the significant efforts taken to rectify the situation.
Regarding the renaming of the program, Egbuwalo articulated, "In line with the new agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the N-Power program will be continued as Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme (RHJCP) under the supervision of the Honourable Minister, Dr. Betta Edu, which will be expanded to target 5 million beneficiaries in 5 years where 1 million youths will be absorbed each year under the graduate and non-graduate stream."
One beneficiary from Yobe State who attended the meeting shared that there had been initial plans for a national protest among different clusters of N-Power beneficiaries. This was primarily due to the lack of information and uncertainty surrounding their pending stipends. However, the clarity and transparency offered by Egbuwalo during the meeting dispelled the need for such protests.
The beneficiary stated, "Sir, as you have clearly explained the current situation of payment to us with utmost transparency, myself and other clusters of beneficiaries represented here are assuring you that we have clearly understood your position and taken your assurances, there is no need for any protest."
The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the open and candid communication and encouraged their fellow beneficiaries to remain patient while awaiting their payments. This new approach to program implementation reflects a renewed commitment by the federal government to ensure that no beneficiary is left behind in its renewed hope agenda.
The news of the impending stipend disbursements and the program's rebranding to the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme has injected optimism and enthusiasm into the N-Power beneficiaries. As they eagerly await their allowances, they can do so with a sense of assurance that their needs and concerns have been heard and addressed.
This development underlines the government's commitment to fostering economic empowerment and employment opportunities for the nation's youth. The transition of N-Power into the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme signifies an expanded vision aimed at benefiting even more young people in the years to come.
In conclusion, the eagerly anticipated nine-month backlog allowances for N-Power beneficiaries are on the horizon, with disbursements set to commence in November. The renaming of the program to the Renewed Hope Job Creation Programme reflects a broader initiative aimed at providing job opportunities to millions of young Nigerians. The government's commitment to transparent communication and addressing beneficiaries' concerns has been well received, making this a positive step towards achieving the program's goals. It is a testament to the government's dedication to youth empowerment and inclusive economic development.
